NOTICE THE AMOUNT OF HAIR COMING OVER CHONG'S HEAD BAND, THIS SET WAS THE 2ND VARIATION,CHANGING FROM THE -CHEECH- AND -CHONG- BASES TO THE -PEDRO- AND -MAN- BASES.THIS PICTURE WAS TAKEN ON THE FIRST DELIVERY OF THE NEWLY CHANGED HEAD KNOCKERS.
NOTICE THE THIN FACE ON THIS EARLY PEDRO AND THE LONGER HAIR OVER THE HEADBAND ON CHONG.
For those who are new to the head knocker bobblehead hobby or unaware of Neca's Cheech & Chong head knockers crazy history of variations, it goes like this;
The very first UP IN SMOKE Cheech and Chong bobbleheads head knocker releases back in about 2002 were made with the words Cheech and Chong on the appropriate bases ,Cheech bobbleheads left arm is bent and goes across his stomach,Cheech is also wearing shoes, not sandles, the right arm dangling down.The Chong bobbleheads arms are out to the front and his hair is longer over his red head band, we are trying to find our original pictures of this very first issue, i sold my set to a very good friend this spring of "08" and forgot where to snap a picture.
Neca sent out some cases of the -Cheech and Chong- labeled bases but had to pull them soon after due to a liscence issue, the names on the bases were supposed to be -Pedro- and -Man- , thier names in the "Up in Smoke" movie. If you were lucky enough to get a pair of the early -Cheech- and -Chong- labeled base bobbleheads you got a couple of rare head knockers, thier very hard to find in this variation. The bases were soon changed to "Pedro" and -Man- on the 2nd version of Cheech and Chong head knockers, Cheech's thumbs were moved into his suspenders and Chong is holding his collar with his right hand.

1; ORIGINAL CHEECH HEAD KNOCKER HAD SHOES,CHEECH ON THE BASE.
2; ORIGINAL CHEECH HAD ONE ARM BENT GOING ACROSS STOMACH.
1; ORIGINAL CHONG HEAD KNOCKER HAD ARMS OUT IN FRONT LIKE NEW HOMEGROWN VERSION, BUT HAIR OVER HEADBAND WAS LONGER, CHONG ON THE BASE.
